A lawyer for the accused gunman in the killing of NFL star Sean Taylor wants to reach a plea deal.

A judge Wednesday denied bail for 17-year-old Eric Rivera during a brief appearance by video conference in a Miami courtroom.

On Tuesday, his three older co-defendants were also denied bail. All four are charged with first-degree felony murder and armed burglary.

Rivera's lawyer says the teen isn't admitting any wrongdoing, but that he's eager to discuss the possibility of a deal with prosecutors.

Taylor died on November 27, a day after he was shot in the bedroom of his home.

Police have said the Washington Redskins safety was the victim of a botched burglary.
