A group of Valley kids is getting a lesson in tolerance. At Fort Defiance High School Tuesday, a group called "R-5 Productions" held an assembly to remind students what can happen when they pick on their peers. They got a lesson on how to be a positive influence and encourage others to stop using hate speech.
R-5 takes its message to schools around the US and tries to teach kids a better way to relate. "We hope that when they leave this assembly today, they look around and they want to understand each other," says Mike Donahue with R-5 Productions.
Tuesday's program was held for kids at Stewart Middle School and later in the day at Rockbridge Middle School.
