JMU is officially part of the negotiations with the developer for the stadium project Harrisonburg Downtown Visions.
The university owns 41 acres of the 108 acres at Neff Avenue. City economic developer Brian Shull would not say exactly what JMU involvement would be at this point.
There will be public hearings soon. The next step will be to have an outside group do an economic analysis for the project followed by a traffic study as well.
