The recent sniper attacks have local school officials being extra cautious.
They're canceling field trips to the Washington D.C. area.
All athletic and field trips, within a 50 mile radius of the capital, have been postponed for Harrisonburg, Rockingham, Augusta, Staunton, Waynesboro and Page County.
These trips will be made up once arrests are made and the superintendents decide the areas are safe.
