There’s mixed news from a local plant. The bad news: there have been a few lay-offs at Waynesboro's Wayn-Tex.
The facility was recently bought by Georgia-based Mohawk Industries.
A spokesman for Mohawk said about fifteen administrative jobs were cut because of overlap.
The good news: he said Mohawk is in a hiring mode at Wayn-Tex.
A plant employee told TV-3 there is a possibility operations will be expanded to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Mohawk would not confirm this, but did say it is evaluating Wayn-Texs' capacity and will tell employees first of any shift changes.
