A Valley man is driving out of his driveway this morning, and suddenly there is an explosion. Now investigators say he may have been the victim of an explosive device.

The explosion happened near Lacey Springs this morning. Assistant Rockingham County Fire Marshall John Huddle says the man was pulling out of his driveway along Indian Trail Road when the device went off in his truck. It blew out the passenger side window.

Authorities aren't releasing the victim's name, but they say he was taken to RMH with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The bomb squad was called. The area around the scene was cleared after two K-9 teams searched for explosives.

Captain Huddle says police do have some leads in the case.
