The 15-acre Virginia estate that served as Michael Vick's dogfighting headquarters has failed to sell.
It went up for auction Saturday. But the real estate developer who now owns the property rejected a final bid of nearly $750,000 that matched the assessed value of the property.
There were only two bidders on the property, and the developer says that wasn't enough. He says he'll now list if for sale.
Vick, the suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback, is serving a 23-month sentence for a dogfighting conspiracy. Vick and three co-defendants raised pit bulls and trained them for fighting in the rugged wooded area behind a 4,600-square-foot white brick house. There are remnants of Vick's "Bad Newz Kennels" dogfighting enterprise, including outbuildings where court documents say some of the fights took place.
