Friends and family of a Staunton teenager who died in October gathered together Sunday in remembrance.
Police say 18-year-old Brittany Engleman died on Route 42 after being involved in a drag racing accident.
Close to 100 people gathered together at the house where Engleman lived, reading poems, sharing memories, and showing support.
The Virginia State Police say it's unfortunate that it takes an incident like this to show teenagers the consequences of racing.

Snowman, Im not sure when you jumped into the conv. however I do belivethe 4th pharagragh down from your's, Britts Mom stated quote unquote, that the family hated no one and hate is a big word. I could be wrong but I do belive thats all she posted, I don't know where your gettin all the anger and blame. I think the lady is holding her family together the best she can even 6 months later, I talk to her on a reg basis and I do believe anger and blame is the futherest thing from her mind. However not from mine, mabey you should take the time and read the latest in the court hearings with this case, Britts Mom don't have to throw blame these 3 men are takin good care of that themselves every time they open their mouth, their story changes. It don't take an expert just an eye wittness... If you knew her Mom in any way you would know your judgement of her is way off.
