Crime Solvers: Home Break-in

The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office is investigating the breaking and entering, and grand larceny of a residence located on North Whitesel Church Road in the Mt. Crawford area of the county.

Sometime between Friday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 21, unknown person or persons gained entry to a home garage and removed numerous items.

Approximately 100 bicentennial quarters, 25 bicentennial half dollars, a leather motorcycle jacket and several guns were stolen.

Some of the guns taken were:
-Remington 32 cal.
-Remington model 788,
-Marlin model 1870/336,
-Springfield double barrel 12 gauge,
-Winchester model 70,
-Winchester 12 gauge pump

Total value of the larceny is over $5,400.00.
