A student at Fort Defiance High School has died in a car accident.
State Police say the accident happened at around 1 p.m. on Dam Town Road near the school.
Police say the teenage girl was driving home from school when she swerved and hit a tree.
They also say speed was a factor in the accident.
The girl's name has not been released, but police say she was a senior at Fort Defiance.
