For Harrisonburg businesses, snow can be good and bad news.
Many downtown businesses did not open their doors Monday. Harrisonburg Crossing Wal-Mart customers say there were not many people in the store. The parking lot at Valley Mall was barely filled. But some enterprising guys took advantage of the snow, shoveling walkways. And Luigi's downtown reports more business than normal.
"We were hoping that the exact thing that happened would happen if you are open, you are the only game in town you are going to be busy, says Mark Batten," owner of Luigi's.
And of course kids who were out of school say the snow is awesome.
