Get your fishing poles ready; the annual Virginia Fly Fishing Festival is getting ready to cast off.
At a press conference Friday, its organizers said they expect a record turnout this year.
That's thanks to more ads in national magazines.
The event drew in about 1,000 people last year.
But this time around they say they have even more sponsors, many of them national fly fishing companies.
"It's important because it provides credibility from the industry at large that this event is significant in their minds and they support the fly fishing enthusiasts," said co-chair Len Poulin.
The festival will be held on the South River in Waynesboro on the weekend of April 16.
