Accused Murderers Going to Trial

The two men accused of killing a man in Waynesboro more than four years ago are headed to trial.

A Grand Jury has found enough evidence against Sherman R. Jones, of Fork Union, and Tony L. Jones, of Bremo Bluff. The two are charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

Both men are accused of shooting to death Tyrone Davis at his Brandon Ladd apartment on December 12, 2000. Davis was shot in the head. A trial date of August 1 has been set.
