I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ARE THERE ANY PLANS FOR WHSV TO ADD A NBC AND A CBS AFFILIATE THAT WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO DIRECTV CUSTOMERS? CURRENTLY IF WE DESIRE TO SEE THESE NETWORKS WE MUST SUBMIT A WAIVER TO GET THESE STATIONS FROM NY OR LA. ALTHOUGH I CAN WATCH MY FAVORITE SHOWS ON THESE NETWORKS, IT IS NOT THE SAME AS HAVING NBC, AND CBS LOCAL STATIONS.

I AM GLAD TO GET WHSV FINALLY ON DIRECTV, HOWEVER WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF WHSV GETTING NBC, AND CBS AFFILIATES IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

I'm still waiting on getting WHSV TV-3 in Shenandoah Co. I'm tired of trying to watch the news that I grew up with through a snowy picture.

This is a Waste. You can recieve WHSV aready in digital format with an Antenna. Why would you give your HDTV networks out of NY to get WHSV that is NOT in HD. WHSV needs to team up with WVIR in Charlotesville to bring us a full range of networks in HD for our community.

Good to see TV 3 continuing to grow. The General Manager has vision. That's sometimes a rarity in this business. Rock on H'bg!

I too had been waiting to get local network, but not willing to give up additional channels

This all sounds wonderful until i called directv last night and found out i would lose my fox & cbs. with football season going on i would be in the doghouse forever. plus they told me i would have to upgrade my equipment which for 3 receivers it would cost 102.90 and it had to be paid up front. I have been with directv for over 5 years and like their service. just dont like not getting local channels. but if i have to lose 2 other networks just to get one i am sorry whsv. and in my area the only channel available with an antenna is channel 29 nbc. unfortantly i will have to stay with that for now. and continue to get my local news online.

The Direct TV story sounds great. Now for the "fine print". If you get TV 3, your local ABC affiliate, you will have to give up your other networks. So you can watch TV 3, but you will have no NBC or CBS. I don't think it is worth the trade off.
