Staunton Fire Displaces Family

A family is out of their home after a fire destroyed much of their Staunton home.

The fire began in an upstairs bedroom in a home located at 513 Gooch Street around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Augusta County and Staunton fire departments contained the fire to the upstairs parts of the home and reported no injuries.

The Red Cross provided the family with shelter overnight.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
