It was a vote that would have made Grandma Moses proud.
The Augusta County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the preservation of "The Grandma Moses House" in Verona.
The county had ordered the Shenandoah Valley Rural Heritage Foundation to come up with 250 members and $50,000 before it would approve their restoration plan.
The group's presentation showed it had met both goals, and the board approved their proposal unanimously
Grandma Moses' house will be used as a teaching facility as it is restored.
