Easter weekend means lots of eggs, bunnies and family fun.
That was the theme at an event Saturday sponsored by the American Red Cross.
In between munching on cotton candy, getting face-painted or posing with the Easter bunny- people also could learn about how to be prepared in case of an emergency.
It was a day of fun - not just for Easter, but also because March is Red Cross month.
"It worked out perfect to actually hold an event to remind the community what the Red Cross does and remind them that we are a
family-oriented organization," said Forrest Wheelock of the Red Cross. "We want people to come out, have fun and enjoy it with their families."
He says the proceeds will be used to help local victims of fires with things like food, clothing and shelter.
