Rain or no rain, some Waynesboro officials want to press on with drought restrictions.
Though the state has reduced some of its restrictions, Waynesboro's may remain in place. Those restrictions were implemented last month, and now they could extend through the winter.
City manager Schuyler Giles says there's no reason to ease up now.
"I cannot see a good reason not be conservative, until we know for sure that things have definitely headed back the other way," Giles said on Friday.
Later this month, Waynesboro City Council will officially discuss whether or not to drop the restrictions.
So far, no fines have been issued for water violations.
