I think its sad the you have nothing eles better to do with your time than to stand on the side of the road and watch this stupid behavoir. And you should get that clear. You better be glad all you have to pay is a ticket, and not bury your friend. So grow up get a hobbie and take it to east side if you think you have what it takes. Don't be a wanna be...
I think its sad that people out here think they know it all but i was one of the few that got a ticket and there was no racing ! I think everyone needs to get that clear .. yeah the cop said he got us after the race but nobody even raced.. just because there were black marks on the road doesnt mean jack..
none of news stations has said anything of the road conditions when brittany engleman was killed there was gravel all over the road where they were working on it .the buffalo gap students were cautioned when leaving the school to be careful.there were no signs that morning of the wreck and after the wreck vdot was putting signs up and cleaning the road. the road conditions helped cause this wreck but all you hear about is drag racing not the road conditions one car serving in gravels does not mean drag racing as far as were the parents are they are of age and most of these kids are buying their own cars. this was a tragic accident many lives have been changed so when reporting you need to tell the whole story not just what the charges are these boys have not been conficted of this and the community needs to hear the whole story
Don't these kids have anything better to do with their time? Where are the parents? Maybe instead of buying your kid a car you should spend more on their education. This place is full of nothing but a bunch of stupid rednecks who watch the ever so thrilling YeeHaw Nascar and then think they can be super racers. Get a life.
There have been examples made. Remember an incident back in 2002 where a man was killed and two others were injured? One person is still in jail over that one...
I think its good that they got caught. It is less people out her e doing now since all of them was caught. But very lucky they found all of them.
Well put, Verona. This type of activity belongs in one place and one place only: the drag strip. These boys and girls w/ their wanna-be racers are a nuisance and a danger to all. Their $25.00 exhaust tips do nothing to enhance the performance of the car...they only make it louder. Cutting the springs to lower the car is SO unsafe. These kids know little about the engineering aspect of their cars. Cutting the springs destroys the dynamics of the cars' handling. The rear spoilers are useless. PERIOD. Rear spoilers are designed to create downforce....on a car that is able to and designed to exceed speeds of 140 (or so) mph. But these kids think that they are driving race cars...and they are not. Again, kids, keep it on the track and away from our public highways. I don't pay taxes so you can use the roads as racetracks.
We need to make examples of all of the people involved in the drag racing, they need to get the fullest extent of the law. And maybe no more lives will be lost to these stupid acts. If you want to race take it to East Side Speed Way. And stay off our roads. You don't belong!
