The River City kicked off their annual Riverfest.
With the rains holding up, Waynesboro tallied thier best turnout in years.
More than 200 people were on-hand, a number of them kids.
They were able to perform plays, participate in canoe rides, duck races and meet some interesting creatures.
The Riverfest committee said it was a fun day for everyone visiting but also a reality check for local residents as they realize the importance of the South River.
