He says he'll continue to fight for transportation improvements in the Valley. That's how delegate Steve Landes kicked off his re-election campaign Tuesday in Verona.
A number of officials turned out to support Landes' re-election announcement.
He says another of his major goals if re-elected will be to focus on the rural economies as well as addressing the needs of education.
Landes was first elected to the House of Delegates in 1995, and has been re-elected four times.
He says he's achieved transportation victories for the valley in the past.
"We were able to obtain an additional $110,000 for additional state police support along Interstate 81," said Landes.
