A new era is beginning in Waynesboro. City Council introduced Douglas Walker as the new City Manager.
Walker is replacing the retiring Schuyler Giles. He will take over for Giles on Jan. 6.
Walker is currently the Deputy County Administrator for Spotsylvania County. Walker says he's extremely happy to be part of the team.
"I hope I can add some fresh ideas," said Walker. “I expect to be a team member with City Council and bring to them some experience that I gain in my work with Spotsylvania County over the last 10 years."
