Snow will continue overnight through early afternoon Monday. The heaviest period of snow is expected between midnight and sunrise. Accumulations will be in the 2- 8" range with more possible in higher elevations. The Northern Valley should expect 2"-5"+ while the Southern Valley should expect 4"-8"+. Roads will become snow covered and slippery. Travel will become dangerous, especially overnight when temperatures are below freezing. Dangerous travel will continue through the morning commute Monday.
Young Virginians want to farm, they just don't have anywhere to do it. According to a survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau, young farmers and ranchers say they're worried about the lack of land available for their chosen career. 26 percent say it's the biggest challenge facing the profession, while profitability was second at 23 percent. Young farmers say they're also worried about increasing government regulations. Other concerns include urbanization and labor availability.
