After a two year hiatus the City of Waynesboro is bringing back the Transportation Safety Commission.
Council voted to reinstate the group after a member of the Planning Commission made a request at a September meeting. Council is looking for interested volunteers to work on the five member Commission.
The group would meet only when specific need arises. Councilman Reo Hatfield says the Commission will benefit the citizens of Waynesboro.
"It will give them the opportunity to point out concerns in our city," said Hatfield, "and give us a fresh look and more eyes at what is going on in the city so we can see and do some things about traffic conditions."
If you're interested in becoming a member of the Transportation Safety Commission you can send your resume to city hall.
