Officials say they searched state and federal data bases to find 171 convicted sex offenders who were illegally in Virginia.

As a result, the offenders are being deported to Argentina, Bolivia, Germany, Laos, Mexico, Scotland and dozens of other countries.

At a news conference in Richmond on Wednesday, Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell announced the results of "Operation Predator." He was joined by Virginia State Police and leaders of U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The officials said the 171 offenders are either incarcerated and being processed for removal from the U.S. or already in federal custody.

Eighty-four offenders found in the search had already left the country or had been deported.

Good for the good guys. Catching any and all illegals is a step in the right direction, but, catching criminals that are illegal is even better. Get them out of this country. Kudos to the good guys. Deport all of the illegals, not just the criminals.

Excellent comment Jim!! You are so correct on this! We do need to wake up, we live in a society that doesn't learn from their mistakes and think professional journalism is what bar Hollywood "trash" scarlets are frequenting. I remember when news was worthy of watching. With all the bickering politics going on, who is paying attention to our boarders? I think Homeland Security is to busy wire tapping the average American Joe to pay attention of who is coming and going. They all need to wake up before it's to late. I'm sick to death of our children paying the price because this kind of scum is running around looking for a victim and oppurtunity to harm someone. Sorry, I am very angry that our country is going to hell fast.

If the Feds don't do something about our open borders, these criminals, and many more just like them (or worse), will be right back here in mere weeks. If you think sex offenders are bad, what about terrorists? I may be mistaken, but weren't some of the 9/11 attackers here illegally?I mean, when will people wake up? Or stop reading about Brittney Spears & Paris Hilton long enough to realize we have no "Homeland Security". Now, I'm no conspiracy theorist, but don't you realize the government WANTS you glued to your "reality TV", they want you over your head in debt, etc., etc. An ignorant population is MUCH easier to control. Wake up people! Is getting a cheaper price on yardwork or painting really worth undermining the safety of our nation?
