Bridgewater College hosted a debate Thursday night on one of the hottest political and social topics in the United States at this time: illegal immigration and how the country should handle it.

Dan Stein, president of the Washington-based Federation for American Immigration Reform, and Enrique Morones, founder of Border Angels, discussed the issue, looking at how these immigrants affect American society.

The debate, which was free and open to the public, was held in Cole Hall on the campus.

Where did you three grow up? You only lived there because of your parents you had no choice in the matter. The "illegal" children also did not have a choice! No one wants to pick up the slack for those who don't belong, yes i understand that, but a reform rather than tougher enforcement is needed. We already kill over 1000 people enforcing immigration laws. How much tougher can we get? Kill more people? If thats what you think then you don't deserve to be called and American. Did we not, as country, developed due to the soul fact of immigration. And even with that we stole the land from those who are native. I think you need to spend more time understanding humanity rather than blaming others for our countries financial situation.

This should not even be debated! Illegal means AGAINST THE LAW.

"illegal immigration and how the country should handle it." I'll tell you how. JUST ENFORCE THE LAW!!! Also, cut off federal funding to sanctuary cities until they enforce our laws as well. And American citizens can boycott the greedy traitors who hire illegals. Hire Americans to do your landscaping, drywall, roofing, etc. Also, it is certainly worth noting that those people who are in favor of illegal immigration, are not people whose jobs are threatened by illegals and their employers. How many Mexicans are climbing the "fence" to steal the jobs of teachers, computer programmers, nurses, police officers, lawyers, lobbyists, etc.? NONE! They are taking the blue collar jobs, and it is very selfish and irresponsible of the white collar sector to allow it to happen! Also, HENRY, thank you for your unfailing patriotism. I know personally how much time and money it costs to address this issue on a grass roots level. You have my respect & gratitude.

Anyone who gives aid to these invaders is a traitor to America and has no credibility in the matter. Funny how it was not announced until the last moment. I'll bet Morones would not have liked the reception he could have received if more good Americans had known about this.
