The woman accused of hitting a family with her car during the Staunton Christmas Parade made an appearance in court Wednesday.

The felony charges against Donna Young include hit and run and driving under the influence.

According to police, Young was drunk at the time she plowed her car into a group of people waiting for the parade to start.

The victims suffered minor injuries.
