More information is coming out about the Christmas Day shooting in Winchester.

Police say officers shot to death 37-year-old James "Fuzz" Jackson of Martinsburg, West Virginia on Wednesday afternoon, while looking or another man accused of violating probation.

Investigator WK Stotlemyer with the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force said in a search warrant filed two days before the shooting that Jackson ran a drug ring in Winchester and Martinsburg.

Winchester Police Chief Gary Reynolds said last night that Jackson was under investigation by the state, federal, and local agents, but that he had not been indicted.

Reynolds says officers shot Jackson after chasing him on foot. He says Jackson choked and pushed one officer and pointed a gun at another. Virginia State Police are investigating the shooting.
