HARRISONBURG, Va -- Seven people were taken to the hospital after a commercial passenger bus and tractor-trailer crash early Tuesday morning.

It happened on Interstate 81 at Mile Marker 244 around 4:00 a.m.

Virginia State Police say there are no deaths. Since this morning all seven victims have been released.

The seven victims include six people on the commercial passenger bus and the tractor-trailer driver.

The truck driver, Dean J. Crawford, of Staunton, is charged with reckless driving. He was driving a Sysco Food Services of Virginia, Inc. truck out of Harrisonburg.

State Police say the truck merged into the left lane and hit the bus. Both vehicles went into the median, causing the cab of the tractor-trailer to overturn.

The tractor-trailer turned against the bus door, forcing passengers to get out of the bus through emergency windows. There were 40 people on board.

The bus is owned by New York Sky Express, Inc. It was traveling from Tennessee to New York City.

State Police say the crash is still under investigation.
