Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys are the most popular targets for car thieves in Virginia.
National Insurance Crime Bureau officials say Accords were stolen most frequently in the state from the beginning of the year to Dec. 10.
Toyota Camrys are second, Honda Civics are third, Dodge Caravans are fourth and Jeep Cherokees and Grand Cherokees round out the top five.
The rest of the top ten are Plymouth Voyager, Plymouth Acclaim, Ford Escort, Chevy Cavalier and the Toyota Corolla.
The NICB says that nationally, the Toyota Camry was most popular among thieves. Two Honda models, the Accord and the Civic were second and third.
The agency says more than 30 percent of the $1.2 million stolen nationally are not recovered.
