The funeral for former Virginia Delegate Alson "Al" Smith was held Tuesday in Winchester.

The service took place at the Braddock Street United Methodist Church and lasted about an hour.

Two of the pallbearers included former governors Mark Warner and Charles Robb who both joined dozens of highly-regarded state and local officials and many area residents to pay tribute to Smith.
