The news of the I-64 shootings has certainly made things tense for some people who have to travel on interstate 64. Maggie Walkup was on her way to West Virginia, and says she didn't expect to have to look over her shoulder.

"I certainly don't want to hear that my last two hours on the road are going to be looking left or right to see if some person is shooting at us. I have both my kids on spring break and it's very scary," says Walkup.

It's also made drivers think of similar shooting scares, such as the ones in Washington, D.C. a few years ago.

Frank Regonse was also traveling through the state and says, "I remember years ago when I was in Washington D.C., and right across the Virginia line, there were several shootings. They were shooting these people at the gas stations."

Police located several bullet casings from many of the bullets fired on Interstate 64, and they aren't sure if the shots came from a single gun. However, they say the guns are of the same caliber. Police are also still trying to figure out who is responsible for the shootings.
