During the forced resignation and subsequent reinstatement of University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan this summer, one of the issues raised was the University of Virginia's national rankings possibly slipping. Now, UVa is at the top of one list, but it probably isn't one the school's scholars were hoping for.
For the first time since 2011, and only the seventh time in its 59-year-history, Playboy magazine is out with its list of top ten party schools. At the top is the University of Virginia.
The list was determined by Playboy's editors who took America's top 100 colleges and universities and ranked them across 900 data points in three categories: sex, sports and nightlife.
The magazine says UVa came in 16th for sporting life, third for nightlife, and second for sex life.
This list does not agree with the annual Princeton Review list of party schools. UVa did not make the top 20 of that list this year.
Here is the full list of Playboy's top party schools:
1. University of Virginia
2. University of Southern California
3. University of Florida
4. University of Texas
5. University of Wisconsin
6. University of Georgia
