It's been a Valley business for 15 years, but soon it may have to make some big changes to stay open. The Harrisonburg Beauty School changed hands four years ago when Maggie Gridley moved from Beverly Hills to buy it.
Maggie has had as many as 15 students at a time, but now she has only two. If no one enrolls after these two students graduate, then Maggie will be forced to turn the school into a salon.
"Basically base it on an affordable salon for the community, because clients that have come here have been faithful to the school, they've been coming 15 years and longer. And I wouldn't want to out price them so much that we couldn't have our same relationship going," said beauty school owner and instructor, Maggie Gridley.
Maggie is still interested in having a few students in her salon, but she's sad to see it change. She says that ever since Massanutten Technical School opened, her enrollment numbers have dropped.
