The wheels on Greyhound buses won't be going round and round in the Valley much longer. A spokesperson has confirmed after August 16 there will be no Greyhound bus service in Verona, Harrisonburg or Winchester.
The company says it's trying to focus on faster routes and fewer stops. They claim consumers have asked for that for sometime.
Greyhound says it isn't making as much money as it could be by serving this area.
"They are never easy decisions to make, telling a community that we can't serve them anymore, but like I said it's about greyhound staying in business," said Greyhound spokesperson Anna Folmnsbee.
Greyhound says Charlottesville is the closest station still providing service.
