Arson is now the case for a Valley house fire but the bigger surprise is committed the crime.
Wednesday night, officials responded to a fire at this townhouse currently under construction. Waynesboro police now say a 12-year-old boy is the culprit.
Detectives found piles of pine needles and lumber arranged on the floor of the home and traced it back to the juvenile. The juvenile later confessed to the crime. He is currently in the custody of his family. Police will seek petitions for arson from the Waynesboro Juvenile Intake Office.
