Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were in the valley 24 hours after the first presidential debate. Mitt Romney's campaign is feeling energized.
Country star Trace Adkins warmed up the crowd at the Augusta Expo, but the real stars were Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney, who got down to business.
Ryan, bringing up what Vice-President Joe Biden said on Thursday.
"And he asked if he and President Obama want a tax hike and his response was yes we do. Well viriginia, no we don't." said Ryan.
Romney took on the President
"The American people recognize that he and I stand for something very different. I'm going to help the American people get good jobs and a bright future." said Romney
This is Romney's first campaign stop in the Valley and Ryan's second.
They're hoping the one-two punch of this visit and last night's debate will help the campaign take Virginia,
The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll shows President Obama winning Virginia, but just by a two point spread.
Despite those poll numbers, many supporters feel that the Romney campaign is gaining momentum.
"For the first time in months, i feel that this country can get back on the right track." said Gerry Kania.
Tammy Gough said, "I like what i've heard and i'm gonna vote for Mitt Romney."
An action the GOP nominee is hoping more will do on November sixth.
The Romney campaign is riding the wave of Wednesday night's debate, hoping to win virginia next month.
His next campaign stop is in southern Virginia near Bristol.
