If you're tired of telemarketing calls, some relief may be in sight.
The Federal Trade Commission is announcing new regulations, including a national Do Not Call list.
You would register for the list on the Internet, or by calling a government hotline. Your name would remain on the list for five years before you had to renew. And it would only stop calls made from outside your state.
The changes are not a done deal. The Direct Marketing Association says it may challenge them in court.
