The wait is finally over for some valley families and soldiers.120 Virginia National guardsman returned home today. Community members came out in force to greet their heroes. They arrived by bus to the armory in Woodstock this afternoon.Family and friends cheered and waived signs and balloons as the buses arrived.They were deployed for 18 months and spent a year in Afghanistan."It feels great..it feels good. I makes it all worth while, "says Specialist Rusty Fleming."I couldn't wait for this day we marked it on the calendar me and the girls we put x's and my other daughter made rings and she tore one ring off every day,"says Natalie Bowers, wife a returned soldier.The community put together a home cooked meal for the soldiers.A special ceremony was held for them later.
