Having a child with a serious illness is tough enough to deal with and the bills can make it even harder. Valley Fund is an organization that's making that process a little easier for families. Today, a fundraising event at the Dayton Farmers' Market is helping make a difference for two families. Megan Grimes is a fourteen year old cardiac patient from Broadway. Kelly Coffman is a child from Montezuma who's battling leukemia. All of the money raised through today's events go to their families. "You get a feeling about a place you live in, living here in the Shenandoah Valley, that's special from attending events like this. When you see all of the hundreds and hundreds of people who turn out and show their support, it's been phenomenal," says Valley Fund Board Member Hal DuBois. Organizers hope today's event will bring in more than 4 thousand dollars.
