On Friday, the C.H.A.R.G.E. Gang Task Force arrested two 17-year-old males in connection with an armed robbery. The robbery is believed to have occurred around Halloween 2007 on South Avenue in Harrisonburg.

The victim was a 16-year-old male from Rockbridge County. He was held at knife point and an undisclosed amount of money and personal items were taken.

The victim did not suffer any serious injuries from the incident.

While the police won't confirm whether or not the two 17-year-old males are Harrisonburg High School students, in an affidavit filed last week, Gang Task Force Investigator Chris Rush says during an interview with HHS football player Alex Owah, Owah allegedly admitted to being part of a robbery that took place around Halloween 2007 on South Avenue.

According to the affidavit, Owah stated each individual involved had a different role in the robbery during which a Rockbridge student was held at knife point.

Also in the affidavit, teammate Ronnell Brandon admitted to his part in the robbery that included taking some of the victim's clothing out of a duffel bag after another teammate, Stedman Jones, had taken the bag from the back seat of the car where the robbery allegedly took place.

The suspects both face charges of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. One also faces a charge of malicious wounding.

HHS Mom - Do you really think the police department would protect someone because of scholarship offers? Could it have something to do with his cooperation?

UVA has already said that is off the table so stop acting like he is being protected.

I'm confused. If the police aren't saying that these two are the HHS students then why does this article give HHS student information?
