Some new information concerning the investigation at Harrisonburg High School came out Monday morning, stemming from an armed robbery that allegedly took place around Halloween of last year.
The Harrisonburg gang task force arrested two teenagers in connection with an armed robbery. Police say this arrest is connected with the ongoing investigation involving Harrisonburg High School students who allegedly distributed prescription pills before football games.
Harrisonburg police are not releasing the names of the two 17-year-olds who were arrested, but they did say this recent arrest is related to the investigation at the school.
Police say the robbery happened near South Avenue in which the two juveniles held a 16-year-old from Rockbridge at knife point and stole cash and other personal items.
In an affidavit submitted to the clerk of court last week, the gang task force investigator interviewed Alex Owah. In his account, Owah allegedly stated he was a part of the robbery that also included Ronnell Brandon and Stedman Jones.
In the affidavit, Brandon admits his part in the robbery and admits to taking some of the victims clothes out of a duffel bag after Jones took the bag from the back seat of the victim's car.
One 17-year-old is charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit an armed robbery. The other is charged with those charges as well as one charge of malicious wounding.
