The possibility of the 12 closed DMV offices being re-opened is good news for some Valley residents.
But, some local officials aren't sure it'll happen. DMV has been working with area governments to take over some of the duties.
Commissioners of Revenue and Treasurers are handling the load. And that might mean the DMV office in Woodstock won't be re-opened.
"I really would like to see the old office come back instead of making things so hectic in the Treasurer's Office," said Anna Funkhouser, a concerned citizen.
The DMV offices could be re-opened as early as three weeks from now. The agency would have to recall about 120 laid-off workers.
