Truck drivers are trying to stay safe after someone stole a tractor trailer full with a load of 336 flat-screen Samsung televisions in Augusta County Monday night.

The theft happened at the Pilot Travel Center near Greenville around 6:00 p.m.

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office said the FBI's involved since this is not an isolated incident along the east coast.

The sheriff's office said the driver of the truck went inside the stop and came out 15 minutes later.

That's when they discovered the truck had been stolen.

WHSV spoke with a truck driver who said drivers try to help each other stay safe.

"You think about safety all the time," said Jermaine Brown. "You try and park in a good area, that way incidents like this won't happen. They happen all the time; they happen all the time."

An investigator with the sheriff's office said a theft ring of people who steal trucks is thought to be operating out of Miami.
