The Frontier non-stop flight from Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport to Orlando started operating on Tuesday.
However, this service is not permanent yet.
That will be determined by Frontier airlines.
If you try to book a trip for Spring, you will see on the Website service discontinued April 7, 2012.
The SHD Airport Director Greg Campbell said airlines flying out of a new airport usually test the service before committing for a longer period of time.
Greg Campbell said Frontier will continue this service if the flight brings them the profit they expect.
These morning flights did very well and the community's response has been great, but, and we are gonna do everything we can to market the service but at the end of the day it's gonna be up to the community to use the service to make sure it continues. But we're optimistic that can happen," Campbell said.
Campbell said Frontier will take into account the cost of the fares, the number of tickets sold and the number of passengers taking this flight.
