The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley will open later than expected.
The facility, which will showcase 300 years of history, art and culture in the Shenandoah Valley, was originally scheduled to open later this year in Winchester.
But museum officials say that some design changes that were needed to keep the $20 million project within budget have delayed construction.
Museum Executive Director Jennifer Esler expects construction of the museum to begin this summer. She says the opening will now be delayed until the spring of 2005.
