He was nominated for a Tony Award and now is directing a play in the Valley. William Martin is usually in charge of big productions in New York City. He's been a part of Broadway shows like "the Lieutenant" which was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Director. Now, Martin is the guest director of Michael Frayn's "Noises Off" at JMU. He says he enjoys working with professionals, but working with students is giving him a whole new opportunity. "I approach both the student and them the same way as far as directing the actual play, but when I go with lesser experienced then I do some teaching so I get to do what I really meant to do to begin with." "Noises Off" runs from November 8th through the 12th at JMU's Latimer-Shaeffer Theatre.
