Friday marks the state's deadline for proposals to expand and improve I-81. Ben Carter of the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce says an unidentified highway construction company will compete against an updated Star Solutions plan for the bid.
Star Solutions was the only proposal submitted to V-DOT last year.
