The 16-year-old male from Crozet involved in the shootings on Interstate 64 now faces more charges connected to the shootings in Waynesboro.
Investigators filed charges this week in the March 27, 2008 shooting and property damage cases. The charges stem from the destruction of property at the Waynesboro Dupont Community Credit Union on Lucy Lane and the shooting of an occupied residence in the 200 block of North Commerce Avenue.
These incidents were was a continuation of a shooting spree in Albemarle County which included the shooting of several vehicles on I-64.
The charges were filed in Waynesboro Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and petitions will be served on the juvenile.
The charges are as follows:
- Felony Destruction of Property
- Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle
- Two counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling
