The wild weather Thursday night caused damage across the Valley, downing trees and branches. However, residents in one Augusta County neighborhood say a tornado touched down there.

Bradford Street in Swoope was quiet Friday. Residents say a funnel cloud passed over several homes, damaging trees, cars and outdoor furniture Thursday during the severe weather.

Robert Callihan's wife called him in a panic.

He says, "She said that my daughter had been walking the dog, and there had been a tornado out there that had blown some trees down and took deck furniture up off the neighbors’ deck and sat it across the road."

Steve Hartzog worked to assess the damage Friday.

He says, "A few thousand dollars damage to my truck, a couple thousand dollars damage to my house and you know, a few thousand dollars of personal property damage."

While terrifying, Hartzog says the only thing to do now is move on.

"Well, just a matter of getting out and picking up today," says Hartzog. "Picking up the pieces of my patio furniture that shattered into a million pieces in my yard, so I don't run over them with the lawn mower, pick up some trees."

One resident says he contacted the National Weather Service about this incident and while they're not sending out any representatives, they do say this may have indeed been a tornado based on the conditions the resident described.

A committee in the House of Delegates has sent a bill to the House floor that would allow private, faith-based adoption agencies to discriminate against prospective parents based on their sexual orientation. Would you support this?

Yes, I think if it is a private organization it's okay.
No, there should be no discrimination.
It should depend on a case by case basis.
